What loanDNA Is Bringing to MBA Annual 2026, and WhyHuman Judgement Still Matter
Why We Built It
Mortgage operations in 2026 face a fundamental contradiction. After two years of reduced origination volume, lenders have significantly dereased operations staff yet work required to process a loan remains largely unchanged. Processors continue to manually review, index, classify, and extract information from pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, and other supporting documents. Income calculation errors remain the most common underwriting defect, and one of the most common reasons for a repurchase demand. Lock desks reconcile rate sheets in spreadsheets, capital markets hedge from end-of-day exports, and every seller submits bid tapes in different formats. As a result, some of the most experienced and highly compensated people in the organization spend considerable time gathering, validating and reformatting information instead of analyzing risk and making decisions.
Technology providers approach these challenges in different ways. loanDNA focuses on streamlining core mortgage workflows by organizing documents, extracting and validating data, supporting calculations, identifying exceptions, and presenting actionable insights for expert review. The goal is to reduce repetitive work, improve efficiency, and enhance decision making while preserving the human judgement and controls required for critical lending decisions.
The loanDNA Approach
Consolidated Analytics brings more than a decade of operational experience supporting lenders, servicers, and investors through due diligence, valuation, fulfillment, and quality control. Guided by these real-world operational insights , loanDNA develops mortgage-focused that helps automate manual workflows, improve access to critical information, and support more efficient, informed decision-making.
The product approach emphasizes configurable workflows, source traceability, and expert oversight. Document classification, data extraction, calculations, and pricing analytics help streamline mortgage processes while maintaining transparency and control. Users remain responsible for approvals, exception handling, and decision making in accordance with their organization’s policies. organization’s policies. Specific review controls and governance features may vary by product and deployment.
Where supported by the relevant product and workflow, extracted information can be linked to its source document for review. Activity histories and approval records are designed to support oversight; the scope of available audit records depends on product configuration and deployment.
loanDNA is designed to work alongside existing lender and investor systems through supported data formats and interfaces. Specific MISMO outputs, API connections, and third-party integrations can be confirmed for each product and customer environment before implementation.
“Good companies sell features. Great companies sell outcomes,” said Arvin Wijay, CEO of Consolidated Analytics and board member of loanDNA. “The outcome we are focused on is helping mortgage professionals spend less time rebuilding information and more time exercising sound judgment. We want underwriters, lock desks, and capital markets teams to have the data, tools, and visibility they need to move confidently.”
One Connected Workflow
loanDNA offers seven complementary products that can support connected workflows, rather than requiring clients to replace their existing systems. In origination, Document Intelligence 2.0, the Automatic 1003 Generator, and the Income Calculator help organize source documents, prepare application data, and support income analysis for professional review. For capital markets, the Seller Portal, Bid Tape Cracker, Rate Lock Product & Pricing Engine, and Hedge address seller submission, data normalization, pricing, commitments, and pipeline risk management.
For a Head of Capital Markets, the platform addresses three critical questions. First, can the loan be ingested efficiently? LoanDNA’s Seller Portal, Bid Tape Cracker, and Document Intelligence solutions streamline the intake and validation process. Second, at what price should the loan be committed? The Rate Lock Engine delivers the analytics and pricing intelligence needed to make that decision with confidence. Third, how should exposure be managed after commitment? Hedge provides the tools to monitor and manage risk throughout the loan lifecycle.
Origination
Document Intelligence 2.0 is designed to streamline the review of mortgage loan files by ingesting documents through supported intake channels, automatically classifying and organizing files, extracting key information, and providing source linked references for traceability. Configurable exception and review workflows help identify missing, inconsistent, or low-confidence information, enabling reviewers to focus their attention on exceptions and higher value analysis. By combining automation with transparent source references and human oversight, Document Intelligence 2.0 helps improve efficiency, consistency, and confidence throughout the loan review process. Supported by document types, workflow capabilities and production performance vary by implementation and configuration, so organizations should evaluate accuracy and productivity outcomes based on validated operational results.
The Automatic 1003 Generator is designed to help prepare a draft Uniform Residential Loan Application using available borrower documentation. It can surface missing or inconsistent information for loan officer and borrower review before an application is finalized. Deployment options, supported formats, and integrations depend on the relevant product release and customer implementation.
The Income Calculator is designed to support analysis of employment and other eligible income sources under configured investor and program rules. It presents calculations and supporting information for underwriter evaluation, with appropriate review of exceptions and adjustments. Eligibility determinations remain subject to current applicable guidelines, client policy, and underwriter approval.
Capital Markets
The Seller Portal provides a shared environment for supported seller submissions, document exchange, conditions, and commitment workflows. Configurable roles and review steps can help participants manage information and approvals. Specific funding features, automated rule functionality, and implementation timelines are subject to product and deployment confirmation.
For buyers reviewing bulk loan tapes, Bid Tape Cracker is designed to normalize seller-provided fields, identify unmatched data for review, and support loan-level and pool-level analysis. Depending on the configured version, users may evaluate stratifications, pricing assumptions, and stress scenarios. Any specified schema size, model assumptions, numerical checks, or cash-flow methodology should be verified against the released product before publication.
The Rate Lock Product & Pricing Engine is designed to support investor rate-sheet management, pricing comparisons, margin configurations, and lock workflows. Supported product programs, investor rules, interfaces, and processing times vary by customer setup. Rate and lock decisions remain subject to the lender’s pricing policies and authorized approvals.
Hedge is designed to support pipeline visibility, execution comparisons, and risk monitoring using available lock, market, and position data. Scenario outputs, trading controls, refresh frequency, and processing times depend on configuration and data availability. Trading and hedge decisions remain subject to authorized personnel and established risk policies.
One Data Set From Application to Sale
“Mortgage businesses should not have to repeatedly re-key the same information as a loan moves through their operations,” Wijay said. “Our objective with loanDNA is to make relevant information more consistent and accessible across document review, income analysis, pricing, and capital markets workflows, while keeping accountability with the professionals responsible for each decision.”
Deployment
loanDNA products are available through licensed software and managed service delivery models, depending on product and engagement structure. Deployment options, data management practices and security controls are tailored to the specific implementation. Data residency, encryption, identity management, access controls, and other related security features should be evaluted and documented based on the customer’s deployment environment and applicable service agreement.
